The sun was risen above head as a certain puppet ninja raced through the desert on his way back to his home of Suna. Kankuro had been sent on a mission for a week in the country of Mist it ended up being way too easy and he found a small town to relax for a day until heading home. It was a tourist town and had some of the best hot springs the middle Sabuku sibling had ever been in. His mind was on those springs the entire time he spent traveling home. Everything about those springs made him feel relaxed and rejuvenated, there was only one problem. Upon returning to his village he realized there were no springs like that in the Hidden Village of Sand.
He sighed while walking to his brothers office in the Kazekage tower, he really wished something like those springs were here so he would have a place to loosen up after missions and working with the academy students. The puppet master paused as his hand griped the door to slid it open, the answer to his summer time troubles were already there staring him right in the face. Kankuro decided he would build his own hot springs. A huge cheshire cat grin appeared on his knowing face as he opened the door into to give his mission report to the Kazekage.

The painted ninja boy stood looking over his backyard in the Kazekage manor where both his siblings lived as well. The sun beat down on his black clothes as he scoped out the area for his new spring to go into. There should be no problem building it after all a spring is only a hole with water and the naturally hot sun the way always hanging over the city would heat it up to the perfect temperature needed for a relaxing hot spring. He gave a big exhalation before picking up a shovel and placing it into the sand ground.
The sun started moving across the sky as his burned into the puppet ninjas back while he continued his work on trying to make his dreams of a hot spring in Suna come true. He could feel his skin staring to burn and leave a mark that would bother anyone but because he lived in this town his entire life a simple sunburn didnt even phase the middle child of the fourth Kazekage. A few big piles of sand started building up around the small hole that started to form because of the hard work of Kankuro and his trusty shovel. He was working diligently when out of the corner of his eye a few grains of sand fell from the pile next to home and he turned in time to to try and catch an enemy projectile, he stepped away and stretched his arm to catch it on the side to avoid as much damage as possible. It would have easily worked if it were a kunai but it wasnt it was a water balloon and the force of his hand trying to catch it made it pop slashing water all over the jounins garb.
His eyes gazed up to the top of the pile, which was well over his head, and locked eyes with two students from the academy who wore a face of surprise and terror mixed into each other. They both turned to make a break for it when Kankuro leaped up out of the hole and started to chase after them. Of course since there were two they split up so maybe one could get away, luckily Kankuro was a ninja and knew how to make a simple bushin. He created the Doppler of himself and they chased after the two. The boys jumped from the top of the piles to another in order to ditch the one chasing after them. After a while of running Kankuro grew extremely irritated and threw a kunai each to catch the boys by their shirts and pin them to the wall of the house.
Please Kankuro-sensei we were only trying to have some fun One of the boys pleaded.
Yeah. We saw you working and thought it you need to have some fun, sorry The other piped up and hung his head. They both looked to down cast that even the ninja who hated kids couldnt help but sigh and take the kunais out of their shirts as the second disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Alright just get out of here They both scampered away. And the puppet ninja looked back to his spring to see that half of it was filled back up because of the boys knocking over most of the piles of sand. His own hand came to smack his own face in both anger and stupidity. I hate kids
It was time to try and create the spring once more but this time he was serious. He took out all three scrolls and summoned his puppets to work. They sprung to life from the scrolls that lay on the ground obeying their owners commands. Karasu was in charge of gathering the sand and placing it into Kuroari who would bring it up to Sanshouo to dispose of farther from the hole so he would not be faced with the problem of what just occurred. The system was going fairly smoothly for a while as Kankuro controlled the puppets with ease gracefully making sure they were doing their job to keep the system running. The hole was getting larger and larger by the minute as the puppets did all the work and Kankuro would get all the reward. A few more hours passed and the hole was now large enough to have water be placed into to although the shape of it was a blob and the bottom was uneven all over the placed. The puppet master marveled at his job well done and though about how to get water into it now. He could feel some watching him and turned to see to small heads suck under one of the large piles of sand. He sighed upon recognizing those kids from before. What are you two doing here?
They came out with their faces hidden. Nothing just
this They shouted and they whipped out small fans and moved them to create a small whirlwind it was nothing special but it was enough to make the sand fly around. They made a break for it when Kankuro shielded his face from the onslaught. Once it died down he looked to see no kids and growled in frustration. He looked at his beloved hole to see it was completely filled once a again. In anguish and fury and fell unto the sand sighing. All his hard work of the day is now completely gone.
Kankuro what are you doing? The cool monotone voice asked from above him. Kankuros eyes widened at hearing his bothers voice. He quickly shot up and grabbed Gaaras vest.
Gaara you can control sand, please make me a spring hole He asked and a slight look of confusion spread across the red heads face.
Why?
Please I need one
With a bit reluctancy Gaara sighed and stretched his arm making the sand form to his will and create the most perfect hole for a spring that Kankuro had ever seen in his life he smiled brightly and let go of his brother. Now to fill it with water for my spring
That is impossible Kankuro His brothers smiled faded and confused took its place with out asking Gaara continued Suna has strict laws against wasting water and as soon as the water touches the sand my powers over it will be useless and it will collapse. Also sand will not contain the water.
Kankuro continued looking at his brother, then at the hole, then back to his brother and so on. bu- bu- fine. he turned and walked away angrily, Im just gunna put my head under the sink. He stormed into the house leaving Gaara behind, he was at a lost for words but chose to ignore his elder brother. He filled in the hole and walked inside as well.

On the other side of town those two trouble making boys ran through a crowed street and stopped at a restaurant where there was one blonde costumer sitting at the bar with a drink in hand. The walked up to her and smiled. Your right it was fun one of the two said.
You really know how to have fun Temari-sensei The other said the oldest Sabuku sibling who had a mischievous smile as she sipped her drink.
I am glad you had fun, see you tomorrow for your wind training you two. She called as the two nodded and ran off back to the town. Kankuro gets the stupidest ideas sometimes She turned as talked to the bartender who wore a look of confusion. She laughed wishing she could have saw the look on his face. Oh well at least she knew a fun way to start the summer.
