The world was twisted and could not approve,

Together we left, the past be removed.
The letter I received will be our start.
We raced away, we had no time to lose,
With all in my power I fought all who came,
The castle appeared, we could not refuse,
But what she said was a lie in her game
Charlotte, My love, how could I let you die?
We will leave together, our journey to the sky.

This is my entry to
 I have never written poetry before but that's what the requirement was. It was fun to try sometime new though.I know its not the best but I gave it a shot, and I also know the last line doesn't fit the rhythm but I really like it... oh well. Also for those who don't understand, this is based on the Movie "Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust" its about the characters Charlotte and Meir. If you haven't seen the movie go watch it now! If you want more info go to the website [link] or to wikipedia [link] but that has major spoilers. EDIT: I forgot to mention that this type of poem is a Sonnet. The reason I choose this type was because of Mier, the way he acts and talks is very dignified and I thought an old Shakespearean Sonnet fit him the best. Nice job with your sonnet! I don't know why didn't simply state that it was one ^^ I'm sure someone would have been curious enough to look up the sonnet's composition!
By the way, because a sonnet is composed of three Quatrains [four lined stanzas] as well as a couplet [a two lined stanzas], the last two lines aren't out of form at all ^^

The last line is what had me worried, I know each line in the Quatrains had to be 10 syllables but I wasn't sure if the couplet had to be as well since I couldn't remember and every place I looked up on goggle didn't mention it I assumed it was but the last line is 11 syllables, I just liked it so much I had to keep it anyway
